Power was interrupted to approximately 6,300 North Kona customers at 11:05 a.m. Thursday when the Puna Geothermal Venture apparently tripped off-line, according to Hawaii Electric Light Co.

Power was interrupted to approximately 6,300 North Kona customers at 11:05 a.m. Thursday when the Puna Geothermal Venture apparently tripped off-line, according to Hawaii Electric Light Co.

Power was restored to all customers by 11:07 a.m. Thursday, HELCO stated. The outage affected customers in the Huehue and Kuakini areas.
